Take Metra to Ravinia

Take the Train to Ravinia

If you are planning  to go Ravinia from Metra’s downtown Ogilvie Transportation Center (OTC) or any station along the Union Pacific North line, there is no better time to take Metra. For just $8, the train will drop you off and pick you up right at Ravinia’s west gate. And flexible schedules and a variety of ticket options make Metra an easy and convenient choice.

For weekend concerts, Metra runs a “Ravinia Special”, departing OTC at 5:35 p.m. for a scheduled 6:25 p.m. arrival at the concert venue. Plus, all afternoon outbound trains departing from the city also stop at Ravinia’s west gate.

For weekday concerts, regularly scheduled trains provide service to the park. The 5:50, 6:00 and 6:44 p.m. OTC departures take you right to Ravinia’s front gate, and the nearby Braeside station is an easy walk to the park, and provides concert-goers additional arrival times.

The special $8 round-trip ticket has been expanded this year to not only include all trains departing from OTC, but Kenosha and Waukegan, and all station stops in between, to and from Ravinia Park after 1:30 p.m. Buy it on the train or at Ogilvie.
